CASA PALAPA
A classic Mexican beach house situated on a wide white sandy beach--the back drop for a host of water activities including snorkeling, diving, fishing, swimming, kayaking, or just drifting gently on your float.
AVENTURAS AKUMAL
Aventuras Akumal is known as the quiet Akumal. The word "Akumal" is Mayan for "place of the turtles".
Each year, in May and June, sea turtles come ashore right in front Casa Palapa to lay their eggs in the sand.
Then, in September, October, and November, the tiny turtles are born and crawl out of the sand and into the sea.
Be sure to visit Casa Palapa during these months for a chance to observe this miracle of nature.
WHAT TO DO?
With so many offerings It can be difficult to decide what to do.
The Mayan Ruins of Tulum are just 20 minutes away. Chichen-Itza is less than 2 hours drive. The world famous shopping on 5th Avenue in Playa del Carmen is 40 minutes north. On the way you can visit the Dolphins at Puerto Aventuras.
Right on your own beach you can arrange, diving, snorkeling, fishing, para-sailing, or just a soothing boat ride.
Trent Jones Golf Courses are across the highway. You have your choice of restaurants and beach bars. Everything is close by and easy to access.
Or you can simply swing in your hammock under the palapa on the beach as you sip a frosty Margarita.
MEET THE OWNERS
We, Jack and Debbie, are Floridians who moved to Mexico in 2005. We formerly owned Capital Data, Inc. and CDC, Inc., technical recruiting and consulting companies.
We swapped the "rat race" for a handful of vacation properties in Mexico and The Turks & Caicos Islands.
Now we share time between our properties, while enjoying all that a tropical lifestyle has to offer.
